RE: Iraq and energy
In an interview shortly after the Persian Gulf War and after his retirement,
General Schwartzkopf stated that President Bush had issued orders for him
not to advance and to make arrangements for peace talks with representatives
of the Iraqi regime.
General Schwartzkopf's disdain for the 1991 Bush administration is fairly
evident today. He (Schwartzkopf) has yet to be interviewed since 9/11.
Could this be that statements he may make in the course of such an interview
could be interpreted as disloyal/unpatriotic?
