Here is a list of things I would like to see out of a Latah County Commissioner;
1) A specific plan to make the outer regions of Latah safer. A little over a year ago I had a cousin of mine shot in the head trying to protect some kids playing at local swimming hole. The next day another man was shot in the same place.
2) I would like to see improvements to our hospital. I was born in Latah County at Gritman Memorial and it use to be an excellent place for health and medical help. I am fearful of the treatment people get there now.
3) I would like to see a greater crack down on drunk drivers.
4) Don't vote to take other county's garbage :P
5) A set limit on property tax increases per year

>Greetings Visioneers,
>
>After several weeks of perusing the postings for Vision2020 in hopes
>of learning about the dreams, hopes and needs of Latah Visioneers
>(visions????), I am posting a request. As a candidate for Latah
>County Commissioner (independent - District 2), it would be helpful
>(indeed appropriate) for me to ascertain the diversity of views
>about the future of Latah County from its residents. Recently, I
>posted responses to a questionnaire from Vision 2020 and those
>statements should be available soon.
>
>Now, here are the things that would be useful to hear from you about
>(I presume that the other candidates for Latah County Commissioner
>and/or other political positions would be interested in these items
>as well):
> * What are your expectations (e.g. dreams, visions, hopes) for
>the future of Latah County?
> * How can County Government promote awareness, ownership and
>investment of County Residents in Latah County's future?
> * What should be the role of County Government (and County
>leaders) in fostering cooperation among (and public involvement
>with) the multitude of agencies and organizations that plan for and
>make decisions about the future of Latah County?
> * What are your concerns related to growth and development and
>how should County leaders respond to issues related to growth and
>development?
>In the spirit of the times, it would be titillating to have
>responses that were sincere and thoughtful while promoting thinking
>critically and creatively.
