The
fourth bicycle round-up for Africa is underway through the weekend of September
20.The Village Bicycle Project is
collecting donated bikes to be shipped out of Seattle.With
120 bikes already in storage around the Palouse, the biggest need now is
for trucks and drivers to deliver them in time for shipping.If
you have a truck that would like to make the trip, please let me know.
We
are also accepting donations of bikes, especially adult bikes, and preferrably
mountain bikes.Your donations do
not have to be in running condition, as they can be repaired, or parted
out in Ghana.Bike parts are also
welcomed.Bring your donations to
the collection site in the alley behind the Latah Credit Union, on the
900 block of South Washington, in Moscow.
Volunteers
are invited to help prepare the bikes for shipping.Thursday
afternoon, September 19 will be one prep day, behind the Credit Union starting
at 2:00.We’ll try to coordinate
other times with trucks ready for loading.Call
