A modest proposal

  It has been mentioned, correctly, by visionaries of all stripes, that 
civility can be severely lacking on this forum.  The very nature of e-mail 
can contribute to this.  The same thing that is a blessing, that of instant 
messaging, can also be a curse.  It's so easy to, upon reading something you 
may view as heinous, to type out an oh so clever, (at least to the one 
typing) retort, and send it out immediately.  Just ask Dale Courtney, who 
was the victim of one of my such posts last week.                            
                                                                             
                                      In recognition of football season, 
(Agite, Vandales, indeed, Doug. Or at least I hope that's good.  They need 
all the agite they can get this year), how about a vision 2020 2 minute 
drill?  After you've composed your brilliant riposte to whatever offending 
poster has riled you up, give yourself 2 minutes to look at it before 
sending it.  Ask yourself if maybe you can tone it down a bit.  Can't hurt,
