Mr. Courtney, your logic eludes me.  Supposing yourlogic is sound and correct, 
the following statement would be just as accurate.

"It has been scientifically proven that one out of every fifteen adults is 
mentally challenged.  Think of fourteen of your friends.  If not them, it must 
be you."
