I just can't help myself.  I have to reply to Doug Wilson's assertion:

First of all, as I have noted earlier, I totally reject his attempt to
separate us from our public schools with the use of the term "government
schools"
Second, his statement is false.  Did he miss the recent front page story
in the Tribune on the importance of parental involvement in their kid's
schools and lives (and the many examples of successful programs in local
public schools that focused on bringing in parents)?
If there is one thing that educators agree on now, and try their very
best to ensure, it is that parents need to be involved to make education
work.
The problem is not with education, it is with parents who don't care and
who certainly don't care enough to send their kids to any private
schools.
