Re: misquotes and misinterpretations

Title: Message
Mr. Hansen,

I expect more as well.  In this case, I expected less.  Like ignoring the "car wash" altogether.

Care taken,

Dan

Mr. Carscallen -

I don't know about you, but I expect something alot better from my city council than a "kneejerk reaction" when it comes to establishing ordinances.

Take care,

Believe me, Ms. Lund, I'm against the ordinance just as much as you, but probably for a less emotional reason.  I figure it's all a waste of our time, a kneejerk reaction to a bunch of young ladies that were only looking for attention.

I have nothing against equal rights for women, but don't get down on the women that choose not to bare their breasts.  I also have nothing against topless women, but sometimes things are best left to the imagination.

Where have you been?  Have you not been reading the messages in this forum?  My understanding is that there are many women, including myself, just as outraged at Ordinance No 2002-13 as Mr. Clevenger is, and we are involved in trying to get it repealed.

You don't have to be a woman to see how divisive this ordinance is, or to be outraged at the implications and what it's doing to our community, nor to be involved.

This is a truly Equal Opportunity cause  :-)

I just wonder why you, a man, are fighting harder for this than any woman.  If the women of moscow are so oppressed, why aren't they taking up the cause themselves?

Just a thought

The one thing I've found after reading the press from the rally is how
common the press misquotes people.
I never once said "the financial requirement was likely unattainable."  In
fact, I'm fairly certain we can raise the money.
The press also continues to neglect the silver bullet against the ordinance:
a woman cannot expose her breasts in public view.  This means her
property, including her home, if she is in public view.
Ideologies aside, that wording is absurd!
You can continue to criticize what we are doing, but unless you understand
our view, interpretations will be lacking.
