I don't know, Dale, I've never read it. Why did you ask? Do you like it? Do
you think I would? Maybe I'll give it a whirl after I finish the Elmore
Leonard novel I've been reading during ad breaks watching 'Cheers' reruns.
I've read enough of the Old Testament to know I don't want all the laws to
become part of either the US Code, the Idaho Code, or Moscow's ordinances.
By what standards should we enact our laws? Let me see, I hope we don't run
around like chickens like Moscow just did. If we are going to pass such a
law, and introduce a different version every week, I suggest citizens have a
chance to comment on it each time; each law was different, yet no comment
was allowed the day it was passed.
I think perhaps the problem should be defined. Was the problem a topless
car wash? Why not deal with it as Linda Pall suggested, and go after them
for operating a business in a residential area? As I've said before, I
think this 'problem' was minor, and I don't think the council needed to take
any action. I'm starting to think this was not about having a topless car
wash, but rather about Moscow not having a law controlling topless women.
I don't think a statute should be passed that turns naked three-year olds
into medemeanants. I know, it's probably a relatavist thing to say, but
that's me.
I also think we should treat the genders similarly. I'm trying to figure
out what else I think, but I seem to have misplaced the Liberal's Guidebook
you seem to think we have been issued.
