Let's recognize that the majority of the city council worked
hard to be specific in its ordinance on public nudity. And
let's suggest they go on to other things for at least a
couple weeks.
That way the laughter will die down. I suggest the council
majority assume that people across the country are laughing
WITH them, rather than AT them. (Unless the council majority
isn't laughing.)
After a couple weeks, though, it will be time for the same
five council members to buckle down and serve up a detailed
and workable definition of "pubescent," an important term in
the ordinance. Otherwise all their (well "much of," or "some
of") their hard work to date will go for naught.
To give those council members a leg up on the task, I
observe that simple chronological age isn't going to work as
a determinant.
