summer theater

This year the Logos Summer Theater will be presenting one of the most
popular stories in British literature: Charles Dickens' David
Copperfield. The play opens Friday, July 12, at 7:00 pm, with subsequent
shows on Saturday, July 13, at 2:00 and 7:00 pm, and Monday, July 15, at
7:00 pm, in the Logos Knights Court on West A street, right behind Logos
School, 110 Baker Street in Moscow. (Due to the final night's attendance
of many teachers in the Logos Summer Teacher Training week, it is
recommended that community members attend one of the weekend productions
for best seating.) The play stays very true to the novel, depicting the
birth, childhood, and young adulthood of David Copperfield as he
encounters a host of colorful characters. Sorrow, love, comedy and
tragedy all come into David's life as he grows up in nineteenth century
England.

The large cast once contains many Logos alumni and staff, as well as
other community members, including five children and one small dog. The
play is suitable for school age children and older, but parents should
understand that there are some serious and sad themes. However, at the
same time it would be a good introduction to one of the classic stories
about children. Tickets will be available at the door and are still only
$6.00 for adults, $4.00 for students (including college), and $15.00 for
families of three or more. For more information please call Logos
School, 882-1226.
