RE: A new High School?

Hi John & all,

First, I don't think the decision has been made to construct a new High
School. That was the recommendation of the architect but it has not been
sent to board from the Facilities Committee as a recommendation.
Personally, I think we are missing large gaps of information that we need to
be able to forward a recommendation to the board.

First answer, my understanding is that the model the architect proposed will
house grades 9-12. It is also my understanding that the model was for
800+,- with a core for 1000. Apparently there are 775 students enrolled in
9-12 currently.

The estimated costs excluding the land are 18,806,577 per the New Moscow
High School Master Budget Summary provided by the architect. The cost of 40
acres is estimated to $600,000 for 40 acres. There are fee's of $70,000 and
$150,000 budgeted for offsite utilities and road extension, respectively.

According to the architect these last three expenses are offset by the sale
of the current High School.

Subject: A new High School?

Is our new high school to be a four year or three year high school?

How much will it cost, land included?

How many students will it be used for?
