poster contest



 Artists are invited to submit designs for the 2002 Moscow Renaissance
Fair Poster Contest.  First place winner will receive a $200 award for
the design.  Second place will receive a $50 award for use as the
program design.
 Entries must be a maximum of 17 inches by 21 inches.  A four-color
printing process will be used to print the posters.  The Renaissance
Fair theme is “A Celebration of Spring.”  Designs must include the
words: “29th Annual Moscow Renaissance Fair, May 4 & 5, 2002, East City
Park”.  Also, the words “Moscow Renaissance Fair, PO Box 8848, Moscow,
Idaho 83843  (http://www.moscowrenfair.org)” must appear in small but
legible lettering or typeface at the bottom of the poster.  Designs may
also include optional text: “Featuring children’s events, great food,
and the finest craftspeople and musicians from the Northwest”.  Poster
text should be easily read from a distance of 10 feet.  Original artwork
entries, preferably accompanied with the artwork on Photoshop or
PageMaker disc file, are due by 5 p.m. on Friday, March 8, 2002, at
Bookpeople, 521 S. Main, Moscow, Idaho.  Judging will take place on
Saturday, March 9, 2002 at 12 p.m., also at Bookpeople.  The public is
invited to attend the event.
 Also, do not forget that craft and food booth applications are due
Thursday, February 28, 2002.  Vendor guidelines and application

juried on Thursday, March 14, 2002, and there will be a mandatory
meeting for all accepted food vendors the second week of April.
