After the park Village Apts. were flooded out several years ago, the
University closed the first floor.  Future plans for apartments there call
for elevated townhouses with parking underneath. The threat of flooding is a
real problem at that site.

I believe the Student Rec Center was designed with possible water intrusion
in mind.
