> I just had to respond to this. It will be very interesting to see next
spring who gets to play on the field attached to the fieldhouse. To say it
isn't an issue of boys vs girls is true. As a question of facilities however it
strikes me that I have yet to see any shower, bathroom or medical facilities on
the Joseph street site. So how is that equal facilities? I am also imagining
that either you intend to bus those softball players to the field or they will
be heading down Mountain View on their own. Equal facilities? I can bet right
now that the point made in the spring is that THAT field is a Baseball field
not a softball field. Further more the whole idea of maintaining the Joseph
street field drives me insane. The point is that A. The district can't afford
teams, maintenence or coaches and b. why are we wasting valuable dollars to keep
up a field that can really only be used by the district 2 months out of the
year? Are you all planning on hauling the kids over there for PE? >
