Ice Rink Opening Saturday

I just stopped by the ice rink in the Rotary Pavilion at the Latah County
Fair Grounds.  There have been many great improvements since it opened for
three weeks last April.  For instance, there is a concrete floor and there
are now real hockey boards.  There is an end wall on the West end so it will
be much more comfortable for the spectators.  And, there is much more
parking.  Moreover, there was 3/4 inch of ice on the rink this evening.
When I got there this evening, they were just painting the lines on the ice.
We will be skating by Saturday!!!  Now just start thinking about some of the
great winter festivities and recreational sports we can enjoy this winter.
Our kids start practice on Monday.
