Steve,
I can't seem to post to vision2020 anymore so I thought I would pass this on to
you to post (if you choose).
Ori0n online http://www.oriononline.org has a wonderful
article on "homegrown economics". It is the story of how a
group of businesses in Boulder, CO developed a very effective buy-local
program. They use bookmarks, bumperstickers, decals, cups, and other
methods to display their logo. The program serves to unify the community
and remind people of the impact their purchasing decisions have on their
community. Seems like a good idea that Moscow might get behind.
Hope all is well,
Peggy
