Re: this applies to Iran and Iraq as well!

Dear Dubbya, Ariel Sharon and Western Leaders,

Gee whiz P.C. thanks for the sports metaphors. Those always increase my
understanding of the issues. If I'm not mistaken though, Bin Laden now has
the home court advantage. The Soviet Union learned this the hard way.
Bombing them back to the stone age will be quite easy as Afghanistan
appears to be living a life style not so very far from the stone age. Will
we get our man with smart bombs? To get it done in the manner in which our
swaggering administration suggests, it will mean offering the lives of
our sons and daughters to smoke em out and bring em to justice. What sports
metaphor will apply then? How many flag wavers will we see when the body
bags arrive back in America? What I would like to see Bush do is conduct a
thorough review of our policies in the Mideast not to mention our national
security apparatus that missed the "ball" on this attack. It's clear to me
that while we are planning the big payback , we would be very wise to spend
some time reflecting on a foreign policy that brought us to this point. Why
do these terrorists hate us to this degree? Beyond the perversion of Islam,
what legitimate grievances do they have of any?

All I hear from our stammering, Boy Prez is " make no mistake". Thank
goodness he has surrounded himself with people who have experience in
foreign affairs. I wish the decisions we are making and the resulting
consequences were as simple as Bush's written script would have us believe.
