Re: Parking

The City Council should look on this as a portent of things to come.  The
UI, if it wants to control (profit from) parking on the streets around
campus, it should purchase those streets from the city.  The city gets a
tidy sum for its coffers, and gives up the responsibility for plowing,
maintenance, painting, and repaving of streets that only UI students and
staff can use.
No other solution should be considered.
