Campus parking

There is another side to the parking on or near campus that hasn't been
expressed and that has to deal with the amount of money the university takes
in from parking violations.  The university takes in more than $300,000.00
per year from parking violations.  What makes matters worse is that they
budget for that money as if it were a definite revenue stream.  They have
oversold parking passes such that people end up parking illegally in order
to make it to class.  By securing the rights to all parking within and in
close proximity to the campus they put themselves in position to generate
even more money.  And the parking problem is still not solved.
