UI campus parking

Hello,

I'm a reporter for the Argonaut, working on a story  about U of I's proposal 
to charge for parking on the public streets of Nez Perce and Elm.  I wanted 
to get some feedback particulary from people who park around those areas. Do 
you think UofI should be able to charge for parking permits on city owned 
streets? Do you think it will benefit the people who live on those streets 
or make the situation worse?
      And if the issue being proposed is to benefit the people living on 
those streets do you think it is appropriate for UofI to bring the issue 
before the City Council during a time when most of the residents who live on 
those streets are gone for the summer and can not come to the City Council 
meetings to voice their opinion?
