May 5th - May 12th is National SAFE KID Week!
It's a known fact that a bicycle helmet reduces the risk of serious
injury by 85%. Helmets alone can not insure a safe
bicycle ride. Checking your bike and riding/street knowledge
is just as important. At the rodeo kids are required to
wear their helmets (checking for proper fit). Their bikes will
be checked by qualified bike personnel (no actually repair or
adjustment will be performed at the rodeo). And a bike safety
course is set up to test their riding skills. We'll have 250
packets of information for children who attend. It contains information
about Idaho State bicycling rules/laws,safe riding, other bicycle safety
and other safety issues.
The Moscow Moose Family Center would like to thank all the businesses and organizations that are contributing/participating/volunteering at this very important kid safety event.
