approved proceedings for the week of April 16, 2001



COMMISSIONERS’ PROCEEDINGS
Week of April 16, 2001

Commissioners Paul J. Kimmell, Loreca J. Stauber, and John A. (Jack) Nelson
met in regular session on Monday, April 16, 2001, and on Wednesday, April
18, 2001; the following actions were taken:

Approved, signed and filed the Commissioners’ Proceedings for the week of
April 9, 2001.

By Motion and Order, authorized the Chair’s signature on a Law Enforcement
Protection Contract between Latah County and the City of Potlatch, for law
enforcement provided by the Latah County Sheriff’s Office for 25 hours a
week.  The City of Potlatch will pay the County $22.00 per hour for
contracted services, effective March 1, 2001.

By Motion and Order, approved the Chair’s signature on Tobacco Tax Mini
Grants as follows:
Potlatch School District #285 in the amount of $1,000 for Idaho Drug Free
Youth and $1,000 for Tobacco Cessation.
Moscow School District #281 in the amount of $20,000 for a Family Support
Specialist.
Whitepine School District #286 in the amount of $3,000 for the Bovill
Elementary Intensive Summer School Program and $2,660 for Deary High School
After-school Art Program
Troy Recreation Outreach for Youth (T.R.O.Y.) in the amount of $7,340 for a
Summer Program.

Signed and filed the ICRMP Monthly Claims Loss Runs for the month of March,
2001.

By Motion and Order, approved the request for the renewal of a second
dwelling permit for Merrill and Carol Frink, located at 1016 Frink Road,
Moscow, Idaho, for one year, ending May 15, 2002.

By Motion and Order, in accordance with Section 11.06 of the Latah County
Zoning Ordinance, the Board of County Commissioners approved the request for
a second dwelling for Peter Tschetter, 1121 Red Willow Road, Kendrick, Idaho
for one year, effective April 16, 2001 through April 15, 2002.

By Motion and Order, convened in Executive Session at 11:02 A.M. on April
18, 2001, to discuss Records Exempt from Public Inspection; Indigent,
Pursuant to Idaho Code Section 67-2345 (1)(d).  Adjourned at 11:26 A.M.
Four cases approved, seven cases denied.

All documents are available for inspection in the office of the
Clerk/Auditor/Recorder.
