2000 Census numbers for our town

Visionaries,

 

The Census Bureau just released population numbers from the 2000 census for all Idaho counties and towns.  These are generally more accurate than the estimates we've been relying on since the last decennial census in 1990.

 

From 1990 to 2000, Latah County grew 14 percent, slightly slower than Moscow at 15 percent.  (These numbers a little higher than estimates made toward the end of the decade.)  We've seen a lot of development here in the past 10 years, but it pales in comparison with what has occurred in Ada, Kootnenai, and Teton Counties, whose growth rates far exceed our own.
