Stolen Election?

I believe that a basic fundamental right of all Americans has been lost in
the shuffle and intrigue surrounding the "who won/who lost" issue. Ai
Americans can vote, and those who do exercise their right to vote have to
have a belief that the vote cast will be counted. If their vote is rejected
by a machine, then the various county/city/whatever canvassing boards must
examine the rejected ballot and make a determination regarding the vote. A
machine cannot, must not, be allowed to reject a ballot outright without
human follow-up.

Where elections are won/lost (it is the same thing) by a margin of more than
the machine rejected ballots, than the outcome can be announced. Where the
election could go either way because of the rejected ballots, then those
ballots must be examined, and counted where appropriate uniform standards
have been met.

What is so terrible, is that we voters can no longer feel secure in our
voting. We will all look at our ballot and wonder if some machine will
reject it based on parameters that are set by some unknown person whose
loyalties may be biased. Were the machines in some areas of Florida
"tampered with" so as to reject a large number of votes? did the failure of
Florida, and its Republican controlled legislature, to "count" the rejected
ballots contribute to the long and arduous legal battle?
It makes little difference to me who won as both candidates were two peas in
a spin doctor created pod.
