By Motion and Order authorized approval and submission of a grant
application to the Idaho Community Foundation 2000 Statewide Youth
Involvement Grant through the Latah County Arts & Culture Committee for a
new visual arts program for youth in the Potlatch region. Latah County’s
Arts & Culture Committee will administer the grant. The amount requested is
$2,500.
By Motion and Order, appointed Commissioner Paul J. Kimmell to the Latah
Economic Development Council Board, effective November 20, 2000.
Filed Capital Crimes Defense Fund reimbursement in the amount of $81,716.28.
Filed a Notice of Hearing before the Idaho Board of Tax Appeals in the
matter of the Board of Equalization Hearing appeal by Michael and Laura
Mahaffy.

Administrative Board of the Catastrophic Health Care Cost Program, as the
Region II representative.
Approved, signed, filed Resolution No. 2000-25, reserving County funds for
Fiscal Year 2000-2001 for incomplete construction improvements in progress:
The amount of $30,349.91 in Fund 36-00 Care Center, line 0808-000 Capital
Buildings Improvement will be carried forward and shown in the budget for
fiscal year 2000-2001 to credit the incomplete sewer improvement project at
the Latah Health Services.
Approved, signed, filed Resolution No. 2000-26, transferring twenty-six
cents from the Current Expense Cash Account Fund 01-00 to the Genesee
Housing Elevation Grant Cash Account 66-00 to close out the Genesee Housing
Elevation Cash Fund.
Approved, signed, filed a request to discard surplus equipment of no value,
by Mike Kinner, Information Services Director.
Approved, signed, filed a request to Surplus equipment, by Steve Fiscus,
Assessor.
Signed and filed a Notice of Election to Divide Whitepine Joint School
District No. 286 and to operate as Sub-Districts prior to July 1, 2001.
By Motion and Order convened in Executive Session at 11:25 AM on November
20, 2000, to discuss Indigent Matters, pursuant to Idaho Code Section
67-2345 (1)(d). Adjourned at 12:07 PM. Eight cases approved, one case
denied.
Approved, signed, filed a Tax Cancellation Request in the amount of $430.94,
on behalf of Edward Lundstrom, RPD1290009002F. Homeowner was eligible for
exemption for the year 2000.
By Motion and Order, authorized the Chair’s signature on an Application for
Eligibility to Receive Federal Surplus Property through the Idaho Federal
Surplus Property Program, Idaho Department of Administration, Division of
Purchasing, at no cost to the County.
By Motion and Order, authorized the Chair’s signature on a grant application
to A Territory Resource (ATR) for a “technical assistance” grant in the
amount of $2,500 to fund the County’s Rural Community Resource and Needs
Assessment Project. Chris Storhok will serve as Project Manager if the
application is funded.
By Motion and Order, authorized the Chair’s signature on a grant application
to the AmeriCorps National Civilian Community Corps, Western Region, to
assist in the planning and design of the County’s Rural Communities Resource
and Needs Assessment Project and complete the USDA Non-Timber Forest
Products Feasibility Study subject to a successful application for A
Territory Resource technical assistance grant. Chris Storhok will serve as
Project Manager if the application is approved.
