RE: Regional hospital

How can something be resolved if people are unhappy? In my experience, at
the very least, unhappy people snip or boycott, and at the other end, they
topple the existing power structure. Jeff

First I would like to say that this issue has been resolved, despite some
people being unhappy with the resolution. The two hospital boards spent
several years trying to come to a joint solution for what is essentially a
PMH problem and could not fashion an answer that would be beneficial to all
parties.

I do not believe that building one hospital in the corridor will hold down
costs, but will rather create a monopolistic situation controlled by a few.
While I agree that some costs could be shared, especially high cost "new
tech items" health care is still a one on one experience where each
individual must be happy with the choices available. Limiting choices to
one is not in the best interest of either community.
