RE: mauled mall

Well... the mall makes it's money from the sales of the tenants. Malls
generally have tenant groups who have some say in the decisions made at the
mall. It, in fact, would not surprise me if this group or some of the
tenants had not been behind the clearing to begin with. At any rate, the
mall is a connected group of businesses and one of the few ways to affect
this group is to make them understand that we are not happy with what they
have done. It might seem like they are paying for someone else's mistake.
Nevertheless, these businesses have chosen to develop an alliance with the
mall and thus share the burden by association. This is why I decided not to
open my store in the mall... I did not believe in the idea of the mall and
chose not to ally myself with them and become a hypocrite! The stores
benefit from the mall and they should share the burden of their mistakes.
They are a symbiotic organism so to affect one you will affect the other.

Shahab...

A boycott of all the occupants on the day after Thanksgiving might perhaps
make
a statement to the occupants. And what will be the affect? Did they pull
out
the shrubbery? Will the people in Spokane care about anything the occupants
have to say? I would assume the people in Spokane's attitude is pay your
rent
or move out!
