Thank you so much to everyone who responded to my earlier e-mail. I appreciate 
all your prayers and your attentiveness. Gratefully, I just received a message 
from my father (Neil Palmer) who found out about my missing cat indirectly 
through this listserver. He went to my house and encountered our mail carrier, 
who was headed in one direction, while my father combed the neighborhood in the 
other. The mail carrier (shamefully, I don't even know his name!) found my cat 
on D Street and returned him safely home. We are so relieved.
