Several years ago I met in a group of 100 U.S. and Canadian teachers in a
discussion health care issues.  The message they sent us loud and clear was,
" they can take away everything else, but we never give up our system of
universal health care."    Additionally, they insisted we were without
compassion in our approach to medical care for our citizens.
