What's Going on at the Phillips Farm? a Latah County Parks and Recreation Project.
Hello Visionaries,
The 23rd of September, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Latah County Parks and Recreation
"Old-Time" Crafts Day at the Phillips Farm was favored with good attendance
from some 360 people representing the very young to the older; warm and sun
shiny weather; crafts and arts demonstrations from gracious members of the
community; lunch and snacks; a seranade by folk musicians; and a host of
volunteers who designed and coordinated and picked-up after the event.
Those of us who are strong supporters of the opportunities for enjoyment and
learning this beautiful land resource can be for our children, youths, and
ourselves and others in the area, hope that if you are not now acquainted
with the 160-acre Phillips Farm and the activities designed for it, that
you would find the time to visit it. If you already are and have some
thoughts to share, I would welcome your communications.
At least once a week school children, their teachers and resource persons
conduct activities at the Phillips Farm to complement their classroom
learning. If your or your group wish to avail of the Phillips Farm, please
make arrangements with Andy Grant, Latah County Parks and Recreation
Director at 883-5709.
All the best, Loreca J. Stauber
