How could anyone object if I post to Vision2020 even though I'm running
as a Democrat for Seat 5A in the Idaho House or Representatives--
If I don't mention that I'm running as a Democrat for Seat 5A in the
Idaho House of Representatives?
What I'd better offer right now is an explanation of why I'm posting:
You can save big money, it seems, if you are presently subscribing to
the Lewiston Morning Tribune AND buying supermarket tabloids. That's
because the Wednesday morning Trib, on pages 2A and 3A, was a little
tabloidy and would have filled your needs for juicy stories--
Where would you expect to find stories like:
Body of witch found year after she died
3-year-old's arms reattached after being severed in grain auger accident
Italy's "Big Brother" logs first on-air sex
Mystery shrouds beheading of woman
Vatican still opposes condom use
Bush tell's Oprah he quit booze for his family's sake
Israeli parents offer car to thief for saving baby
Yeah, those were 7 of the 16 stories on those two pages of the Trib..
I didn't list "Man files gender bias suit vs. Girl Scouts," "9 Cubans
survive plane crash in Gulf," "Chinese execute seven gangsters" and
"Convicted American murderer appeals to French to annul extradition"
because they didn't seem terribly juicy though they were "tabloidy." As
a point of interest, perhaps, none of those 11 stories were from within
a thousand miles or so of northern Idaho.
Simple honesty compels me to admit that two of the stories I listed had
significant news value ("Bush and booze" and "The Vatican and condoms")
and should have run in every morning daily.
