Week of July 24, 2000
Commissioners Loreca J. Stauber, Samuel G. Duncan and Paul J. Kimmell met in
regular session. The following actions were taken:
Approved, signed, filed addition to Commissioners Proceedings for the week
of June 12, 2000: By Motion and Order, nominated Commissioner Duncan to the
Idaho Transportation Department, District 2, Public Transportation Advisory
Council. Position is for a six year term.
Approved, signed, filed addition to the Commissioners Proceedings for the
week of June 26, 2000: Convened in Executive Session at 10:08 A.M. on June
28, 2000, to discuss Indigent matters, pursuant to Idaho Code Section
67-2345 (1)(d). Adjourned at 11:02 A.M. Sixteen cases approved, five cases
denied.
Filed resignation of Christopher V. Ricketts, Part-time Irregular
Maintenance Worker, Parks & Recreation. Department 05G, Line 02, effective
July 19, 2000.
Approved, signed, filed a request to hire Mark H.K.K. Meyers as Part-time
Irregular Maintenance Worker, Parks & Recreation. Department 05G, Line 02,
effective July 19, 2000.
Filed termination of Jessie Lister, Part-time Irregular Tracker, Youth
Services, Department 08B, Line 06, effective July 20, 2000.
Approved, signed, filed a request to hire Nikki Agidius as Part-time
Irregular Tracker, Youth Services, Department 08B, Line 06, effective July
20, 2000.
Approved, signed, filed a request to transfer name of the applicant from
Washington LLC to Oregon LLC on the retail Alcohol Beverage License
Application for Applebees Neighborhood Grill & Bar, 111105 Warbonnet Drive,
Moscow.
Approved, signed, filed a request for renewal of second dwelling request by
Bill Kimberling.
Approved, signed, filed a request by Gary O’Keefe, Disaster Services to
surplus a Murata F-37 Facsimile Machine.
Approved, signed, filed a request by Daina Farthing, Rural Development to
purchase an On-line Foundation Search subscription, at a cost of $295.
Approved, signed, filed a notice from the Idaho Department of Labor Appeals
Bureau, of a Telephone Hearing to determine whether unemployment is due the
claimant, Valance T. Barber.
By Motion and Order, approved the Chair’s signature on the Obligating
Document for award of up to $1500 on BDS 76-10 Grant Award from the Bureau
of Disaster Services for the Terrorism Consequence Management Preparedness
Assistance program for fiscal year 2000, Gary O’Keefe will administer.
Filed ICRMP Monthly Claims Loss Runs for June, 2000.
Approved by Motion and Order, Re-Zone Request #596 by Gertrude Wagner, as
recommended by the Zoning Commission, and directed staff to prepare the
Findings of Fact and Conclusions of Law for BOCC approval.
By Motion and Order, approved writing a letter of support to Woodnet
regarding their grant application to Weirhauser Family Foundation, Inc. for
$14,000. The County will pledge $1,000 if the grant is successful. Woodnet
and Clearwater Resource Conservation and Development will provide a final
report and a copy of the feasibility study to the county. Commissioners
Duncan and Kimmell voting for, Commissioner Stauber voting against.
By Motion and Order, Convened in Executive Session at 10:03 A.M. on July 26,
2000, to discuss Indigent matters, pursuant to Idaho Code Section 67-2345
(1)(d). Adjourned at 10:26 A.M. Four cases approved, zero cases denied.
Approved, signed, filed the Commissioners’ Proceedings for the week of July
17, 2000.
By Motion and Order, approved the Chair’s signature on the Joint Powers
Agreement for the operation of Region II Juvenile Detention Facility.
Participants are Latah County, Nez Perce County, Lewis County, Clearwater
County, Idaho County, and Lewiston Independent School District #1. Term is
for 30 years.
All documents are available for inspection in the office of the
Clerk/Auditor/Recorder.
