In this issue:
* Carousel opens this Friday, April 21 at the HS Auditorium, 7:30 PM
* Annual meeting scheduled for May 8, at the Kenworthy Performing Arts
Center, 7:30 PM
CAROUSEL: Well, the Spring musical is alive and well. Cathy Brinkerhoff
has assembled 52 actors and 15 orchestra members and a great technical crew.
The show promises to be one of the best musicals we have done.
Carousel is purported to be Rodgers & Hamerstein's favorite show, and after
working on it for the past 8 weeks I can see why. This is a great show!
Don't be left out, everyone will be talking about this one for a long time
to come!
Carousel opens this Friday April 21, and runs through the 29th. Shows are
on Fridays and Saturdays ONLY! Matinee performances are scheduled for both
Saturdays. Curtain time is 7:30 PM for the evening shows and 2:00 PM for
the Saturday Matinees.
Ticket prices are $8.00 for Adults and $5.00 for students and Senior
Citizens. The tickets are available at the door 1/2 hour before the
performance and in advance at the Rosauers Customer Service Center.
Also due to a generous alliance with the Moscow Sunrisers Kiwanis Club, the
Saturday April 29th matinee show is free to the first 100 children with a
paying adult. Children wishing to take part in this offer need to be at the
doors by 1:00. For these children MCT will be presenting a workshop on the
inner working of theater, with a backstage tour, meting actors, and an
overview of the show, and of course reserved seating for the show. This is
a first for MCT, and we hope for a good response so we can continue this
type of workshop in the future.
ANNUAL MEETING: MCT's Annual meeting will be Monday May 8, at 7:30 PM in
the Kenworthy Performing Arts Centre. This meeting is where we will elect
next years officers, and nominate the Directors and shows for next season.
This is also the first official MCT opportunity our general membership will
have to see this wonderful gift from the Kenworthy Family. Membership in
MCT is simple, you just have to live on the Palouse, and enjoy theater,
either by performing, being a technician, or a spectator. All are welcome
so come on out and join the fun! We'd love to have you.
If you have any questions please just let me know and I'll try to answer
them. (Or forward them to the proper person).
Thanks, and Enjoy the Show!
