Re: Corrupt Police Chief

Tim, I don't know if what you have stated has any validity and I
certainly hope not. I do know that when I was a young teen growing up
in the early 70's and later in Moscow that there was freqently a young
quiet patrolman on the scene whenever the crowd I grew up with got out
of hand. He was patrolman Weaver and he treated my peers and I with
respect, genuine concern, and often went the extra mile to help someone
who had serious problems. I was pleased to hear years later that he had
become the Chief of Police in Moscow. I also knew Don L very well and
worked out with him in the U of I weight room in the late 70's and early
80's. Don was a good, kind, giant of a man and I'm sorry that I have
lost touch with him. I hope my input helps you with the research for
your book.
