Community Garden meeting Tuesday

A meeting to explore developing a community garden in Moscow will be held
7:00pm on Tuesday, February 15 at the Moscow Community Center. The public
is invited to attend and discuss ideas, potential locations and sources of
funding for a shared-use garden.

A garden like this could be a great community builder. It will provide
space for community members to rent small plots where they can meet their
neighbors while they grow food and flowers. In addition to PCEI,
representatives from the Sojourners Alliance, the Moscow Master Gardeners,
and the Koppel Farm are helping this project grow.

The ideal location would be large enough to accommodate several small
garden plots, be within bicycle or walking distance of the University and
have access to water and adequate parking.

If you are interested in a community garden for Moscow, please come to the
meeting. For more information contact Peggy Adams, Community Agriculture
Specialist, adams@pcei.org, 208-882-1444.
