Purchase advice...

Dear Visionaries:

Time has caught up with me again and the eye doctor says I need new
prescription glasses to read.

I got my last pair of specs from Dr. French at the Palouse Ocularium on 7th
in Moscow. Great glasses, good service, price was forgetful as I don't
recall shopping around. I wouldn't hesitate to go back but I'd like to do a
little test first.

I've followed closely the V2020 discussions of local businesses versus large
national retailers. I'm very interested in this subject and believe people
like Bob Greene and others mentioned here need a strong showing of our
support for the risks they've taken to make this more of a community to call
ours and not just a place where we say we live.

But I also hear there is a lot of difference in the price of glasses
depending on where one does business.

Here are my questions:

Where in Moscow and Pullman is the best buy on prescription glasses, not
frames (I'll keep my old ones)?
Is price the main concern?
Is service a concern and if so, who provides good service after the sale?
Exclusive of price alone, is there one business versus the others that you
feel strongly enough about to recommend based on your experience?

Looking forward to this discussion,

Charlie Powell
