I can understand the concept of "adopting" a portion of state highway to keep
clean as the state maintenance dept. can't afford to do it and we probably
wouldn't want to pay taxes necessary to make it possible.
However, the idea that we need to "adopt" a street in a city doesn't seem to
fit the concept. Individual property owners should take enough pride in
their portion of a street and keep it picked up.
