Something that bothered me about Phil's comment (which nobody has pointed 
out yet) is that he also claimed to be speaking for me.  And every other 
member of the list.  "Nobody wants to hear your BS."  Au Contraire, I seem 
to recall plenty of people engaging in lively discussion about Shahab's 
messages.  Some people (myself included) had points of contention with 
Shahab, but to my knowledge, no one expressed an active disinterest in 
Shahab's comments.

One of the most distasteful things about PC's comment was that he claimed 
group consensus when he had none.  This amounts not only to rudeness, but 
to an attempt to bully someone into silence.  I think it is important for 
members of the list to keep in mind that when they express an opinion, they 
should not claim to speak for others, except where others have given their 
explicit consent to be included.
