My list of peole whose efforts have helped to make
Moscow and the Palouse a good place in which to live, work, raise kids, and
play.
Norma Dobler--a Senator with the vision to
understand the need for, and the tenacity to pass, Idaho Laws to protect women
and children.
JoAnn Muneta--for her untiring effort to garner
funds and other support for the arts.
Mabel Vogt--for the pleasure she brings to young
and old through her playing and teaching of music.
Jeannie Leffingwell--for her dogged persistence as
chair of the Get Out The Vote Effort for the Moscow Swimming
Pool.
Judy Chavez--the best teacher with whom I ever
worked and one who taught thousands, yes thousands, of students how to write
well.
Janet Fisk--She reminds me there is no age
limit on one's capacity for good works--a wonderful role model for one who
is not much her junior.
Diane Walker--For her support for the arts and her
tireless efforts to bring high quality performing
arts instruction to University of Idaho students.
Shirley Ringo--for sustaining my belief that the
two party system in this state may be in decline, but it is far from dead.
