This particular discussion reminds me of about 10 years ago, when the Texas
Secretary of agriculture to the European countries they could have all the
hormone free beef they wanted from Texas. NO brainer, the rancher didn't
have to put expensive hormones in the calves, he could sell loser graded
beef for a premium, all he had to do was give the consumers what they
wanted. Result,,,they fired the secretary of ag, the guy that had just
given them the global market for the taking.
It would seem to me that our farmers would listen to the comsumer and
exploit this consumer demand, rather than try to educate us about them
being right, who cares if they are right. Give ;the consumer what he wants
and cash in. That would help the local economy and the family farm.
