Yes, but there are still a lot of non-YTK-compliant water heaters and pipes 
(with old solder) out there.  The water heater in my apartment produces a 
less-than-appetizing smell, so it is suspect.  If I had to drink it, of 
course, that would be another story.  Die today from thirst and hunger, or 
maybe die in 2020 from cancer & heavy metal poisoning....  easy choice.

Yes, the city has back-up generators, although my last posting failed to 
mention that people off the city grid would not benefit from this.  If 
there were an emergency, I suspect the city would ban car washing, lawn 
watering, etc.
