I, also, wondered about the reason...and where the Kendalls are going. Often
the Palouse seems a way-stop on the way to somewhere else. Are they going
back to California? I was disappointed in the short blurb in the LMTribune,
particularly the quotes from publisher Alford, who has more substance than
allotted. 
    Perhaps the move is for "personal" reasons and preference (perhaps low
pay), but a newpaper editor is a pretty public figure and a position where
one hopes for experience, longevity and stability. I think we should have a
little more explanation why the short stay.
