Candidate endorsements

I would not like to see this forum cluttered up with various endorsements of
any kind. While discussion of issues is important, discussions of
candidates will, sooner or later, lead to the type of mudslinging that has
become so popular in this country.

The question and answer format is superb for this forum. We need to find
ways to provoke candidate discussion of issues, not candidacy. The questions
that were posed by Bill and others provided a glimpse into the thinking and
pondering that candidates will have to do as elected officials.

I would like to see the list expand the question and answer format used this
past election. the questions asked were useful, but limited to the
perceived issues of a few. Quite honestly, the corridor issue is not on my
personal top ten list of issues facing the city/county/community. This does
not mean the corridor issue should not be asked, but that we try and put
together a more comprehensive questionnaire for future elections.

I never pay any attention to personal endorsements of candidates. I do not
vote for or against someone because someone else will vote for them. While
I do not think the list can prohibit such personal endorsements, I just
delete them.
