Still Separating Glass?

Hello Moscownians
I am a UI journalism student writing an article about the glass
recycling issue.
I would like to know if people are still separating glass and sending it
to the recycling center, despite the knowledge that it will not be
melted down and used to make more glass containers.
I am also curious to know what uses people could find for crushed glass
in the community.
I would be grateful to recieve any responses on this issue. Please
