The existence of this list is one of the greatest secrets that companies
want to keep from consumers.  For more information about keeping off phone
lists AND mailing lists, see the Direct Marketing Association Web site at 
http://www.the-dma.org/topframe/index5.html.  There are even forms you can
print and mail in, to keep off phone and mailing lists.  DMA requires that
you mail the forms; they won't take email or telephone requests.  They
claim that this helps them verify your request, but I think that they like
to make it as difficult as possible for people to get off such lists.
