I also received an email from ian3@gte.net on August 11, 1999. I contacted
gte.net with my complaint. They suggested forwarding a copy of the
original email with full headers (your email program should have a setting
somewhere to turn on full headers--check the help file) to abuse@gte.net.

It sounds like this same address is being used to send harassing emails to
people on the V2020 list. I would suggest that everyone who has received
such an email to send it to the above address. If gte.net gets enough
compliants they may actually do something about it.
