I would much rather see this money spent on improving the section of US 95
between Plummer and C d'A. I drive down to Lewiston regularly and find the
trip quick and usually pretty good with light traffic except for the small
morning and evening "rush hours". Also as mentioned there are a good number
of places to pass (although 1 or 2 more strategically placed passing lanes
wouldn't hurt). I don't really see the need to make it 4 lanes. We would
definitely go north more (especially in winter) if US 95 north of Plummer
were straghtened and widened. That is the scariest stretch of road between
Moscow and Bonner's Ferry!
BTW for anyone who drives to McCall or Boise regularly, the stretch of 55
between New Meadows and McCall has been resurfaced and is a vast
improvement. Should really make this trip (again especially in winter) less
stressful.
Thanks,
Charles.
