RE: Alturas

Alert: For all you ice cream lovers out there, I have confirmed rumours that Hog Heaven downtown is going to close it's doors. Their ice cream maker is broken and their profits last year were such that they do not have sufficient revenue to fix the machinery.
The Eastside Market place store will remain open. The giant sucking sound out of the Downtown area continues. A tragedy for sure, home made, non-corporate ice cream that was once walking distance is gone.
