Re: no personal checks, please

There may not be many good places to eat here but let's encourage those
that are locally owned.  There's a new pita place downtown and a really
good asian bakery near Dismores in Pullman.   Let''s spend our money there
and at other locally owned businesses.   I was happy to see that Taco Bell
has been replaced by Moscow Burrito in the UI SUB.

Besides being overpriced and having customer un-friendly policies
Applebees' has no investment in the community.  Any money you spend there
goes out of the area and out of the pockets of locally owned businesses.

  has everybody been to applebee's?  i took my  family of 4 there last
night.....great greeting, super local decor, clean....no  personal checks,
please.  we didn't stay. 4 X $10 at least, and i was thinking about having
a  beer, too.....another $3.50, i'm guessing.     we pay almost all of our
entertainment expenses  with our checking account.  we won't be going back,
at least until this  establishment rethinks its credit policies.   your
thoughts?   mark miller
