1912 MHS ONE MORE TIME!!??!!

Dear VIsionaries,

Just when you thought the final moment arrived, it gets pushed back!

Tonight the majority of the City COuncil decided to take another week of
WRITTEN testimony from citizens about the 1912 MHS with a decision on the go
ahead to be Tuesday, September 7.

This is an invitation to all of you to look at the plans, costs and
operating cost information developed for this project. These materials are
on the third floor in the City SUpervisor's office at City Hall. If you
can't get there, there is a copy at my office (Suite 6, Kenworthy Plaza,
First and Washington Streets) that you can come look at between 9 and 12 and
2 and 5 PM this week.

ANY WRITTEN COMMENTS MUST BE SUBMITTED BY FRIDAY. I would suggest getting
the information to Gary Riedner. His e-mail is griedner@moscow.com     Watch
the spelling of "riedner" I always seem to screw it up. You can drop by
written comments to City Hall during regular business hours, the earlier the
better.

While I am disappointed we could not go forward tonight because the room was
full of supporters (who should return for Tuesday the 7th at 7:30 PM), I
believe the high quality of the design and presentation (indeed ALL aspects
of it) will be remembered until the meeting on the 7th.

Bottom line, folks, is what Tom Husdon said: we are building a community
center for the next century and we're already half way there with a million
dollars outright and a million dollar match. This is a great project...
contact your city officials with your opinions, even if you aren't as crazy
about it as I am. And if you're really against the project, tell us how we
build community without projects like this and where we might get up to $2
million to help us along.
